I was looking for a whole paintings offertent to me by creator frinds, I found one of your paintings, you offered me long time ago ... I remembered you, but I tried to remember your lines, because my memory has too veillis ... then I saw your photo, I went back secend times to the canvas, my god, what canvas? It reflects the time intensely .. What drawing extraordinary! What color bosses? Necessarily it's done by your heart through days, may be months .. despite the silence of the canvas , it contained a dynamic movement .. it contained this force as in a language ... you know that in the language energy on a whole. an energy of his words through you discover the whole human experience , what happened and what will happen ...

With his calligraphy sets kakayi a centuries old tradition: the art of words to be converted into a dance of lines. Traditionsle Arabic calligraphy while the mostly black letters is dyed Ventures kakayi on the path colors: Subtle and very patiently he verft letters in thousands of colors. The Arab characters are painted with such panache that they have wings seem.
His graphic work is a response to the horrors in Iraq, his country of origin. He wants to chang the negative and destructive experiences into images full of beauty and freedom. His incessant search for balance, to the right shapes and colors, to the correct proportions and dimensions, must culminate in a resting place where he can filling at home. Kakayi edited a series of pictures of his beloved Mesopotamia, an ancient culture that the west has greatly affected.

Met zijn kalligrafie zet kakayi een eeuwen oude traditie voort: de kunst om woorden om te zetten in een dans van lijnen .terwijl de traditionsle arabische kalligrafie meestal in zwarte letters wordt geverfd waagt kakayi zich op het kleuren pad :Subtiel en uiterst geduldig verft hij de letters in duizend kleuren .De Arabische tekens zijn met zoveel zwier geschilderd dat ze wel vleugels lijken .
Zijn grafisch werk is een antwoord op de verschrikkingen in Irak,zijn land van herkomst .Hij wil die negatieve en destructieve ervaringen omzetten in beelden vol schoonheid en vrijheid.
Zijn onophoudelijk zoeken naar evenwicht ,naar de juiste vormen en kleuren ,naar de juiste verhoudingen en afmetingen ,moet uitmonden in een rustplaats waar hij zich kan thuisvoelen.
Kakayi bewerkt een reeks fotos van zijn geliefde Mesopotamié,een oude cultuur die het westen sterk heeft beinvloed.

The artist Kakayi from Iraqi Kurdistan lives since 1988 in Belgium. He is not only master calligrapher, but also a passionate and versatile artist. He paints, photographs and make calligraphy works. The last time is dedicated to etching graphic art and combines in his graphic work both calligraphy, painting and photography. The work of Kakayi is full of surprises. There is always something new to discover. An unbridled creativity drives him on. He experimented with everything he encounters. He has to paint what ;hear; or should; and constantly diverts its own borders. He builds a bridge between the ancient Mesopotamian art from his homeland and contemporary art and techniques. De kunstenaar Kakayi uit Iraaks Koerdistan woont sedert 1988 in België. Hij is niet alleen meester kalligraaf, maar ook een gepassioneerd en veelzijdig kunstenaar. Hij schildert, fotografeert en kalligrafeert. De laatse tijd legt zich toe op grafiek en combineert in zijn grafisch werk zowel kalligrafie, schilderkunst als fotografie.
Het werk van Kakayi zit vol verrassingen. Er is steeds weer iets nieuws in te ontdekken. Een ongebreidelde creativiteit stuwt hem voort. Hij experimenteert met alles wat hij tegenkomt. Hij heeft lak aan wat 'hoort' of 'moet' en verlegt voortdurend zijn eigen grenzen.
